Set one total budget and the planner distributes it across realistic categories for Belgium and the Netherlands. From then on, every quote and every deposit is tracked automatically.
The three numbers that matter
- Spent: what has actually been paid (deposits, invoices).
- Committed: contracts that are signed but not yet fully paid — you always know what's still coming.
- Available: what you can still freely spend.
That way you see at a glance whether you're on track — not just after the fact.
Tracking expenses
- Open Budget → Expenses and add an expense: vendor, total amount, amount already paid and status (quote, accepted, in progress, fully paid).
- Quotes don't count towards your numbers yet; as soon as you accept them, they shift to "committed".
- If a quote comes in via your wedding email address, the planner reads the amount from the email automatically.
Benchmarks
The budget page compares your distribution with similar weddings (same region, guest count and type of celebration). If you're well above average for, say, photography, you'll see it right away — handy for consciously choosing where your money goes.
Tip: keep about 10% of your total budget as a buffer under "Contingency". Experience shows you'll use it.
Availability per plan
Budget management is part of the full planner (€75). On the free start and the final-stretch pack, the module appears locked with an upgrade button.
